What Is Userfeel?

-Summary of Userfeel-

Product Name: Userfeel
Founders: Yannis Karampelas
Product Type: An Usability Testing Platform
Price: Free to join
Recommend: Yes and no

Userfeel is a platform that offers usability testing to website owners for website optimization, and they also train testers how to test the websites by recording videos with helpful feedback to the clients. Userfeel started in 2010 when Yannis Karampelas could not find a way to perform remote usability testing with Greek users, so Userfeel was born.

Userfeel acts like a middle man to match the right testers for different websites by specific criteria, so they welcome everyone to join the platform if you have computers to do the required tasks.

After digging deep, it’s a legitimate platform that pays out to its members without minimum cashout requirement, which is rare to see in other survey or research companies. However, you cannot turn this into your primary income source since it doesn’t provide consistent work. Read on to find out more!

Inside Userfeel

Userfeel works for website owners and testers. For website owners, Userfeel offers usability tests with useful feedback to improve the website experiences and website optimization. For testers, Userfeel provides testers to speak their minds while they scroll down the websites.

How To Start With Userfeel As Website Owners?

Whenever you need honest feedback from ordinary people, you can create an account at Userfeel for usability tests. Once your account is set up, you can create a scenario and add tasks for testers to complete.

For example, you can set up the language, genders, ages, countries to find your preferred testers to do the work for you. You can also send out messages to whoever you want to take the test, and there is no registration required for this process.

-The Pricing-

Userfeel charges you per below pricing. Depending on the length of the test videos you want, the prices vary.

How To Start With Userfeel As Testers?

Before you can really test websites, you need to perform a qualification test, which takes around 20 minutes to complete. So, you need to have a Windows or Mac computer with a microphone at least.

After that, you’ll be given a similar test with a scenario & tasks, and then you follow the instructions to do the recording with your honest opinions.

Once done, you answer follow-up questions and upload your test. Same as other similar sites, there is no payment for the qualification test.

After 7-15 days, you will know the result of your qualification test. If you pass, Userfeel will give you a rating as a reference for the website owners. Usually, those who get the highest ratings can get more test work than others.

You can start checking opportunities for new testings regularly. However, if you find tests available, you need to take action immediately since the system works on a “first come, first served” basis.

Screener Questions

Before you start a test, you’ll be asked screener questions to determine whether you are the right fit for the tests.

This is to help the website owners to focus precisely on their targeted audience to have better feedback. If you don’t meet the criteria, the system will notify other testers. And you move on for the next testings.

How To Perform Well As Testers?

To perform well for your tests, you need to be completely honest. Otherwise, you waste your time and the client’s time, and you won’t even get paid.

Here are some instructions to help you. In addition, you may check the video on this page to get a feeling for what kind of feedback the website owners need.

  • Perform the required tasks according to the test scenario
  • Speak loudly and clearly into the microphone
  • Continuously explain what they are doing and why
  • Provide useful comments such as what confuses them and what attracts their attention
  • Thoroughly answer the follow-up questions in writing at the end of each test

For each test performed and uploaded, you will also get ratings from the website owners. The higher ratings you receive, the more testings will be assigned to you in the future.

How Do You Get Paid?

You will get paid $10 per test, and each test only takes you around 10-20 minutes to complete, which is good pay among all the other similar sites.

There is no minimum payment required to cash out, and you can process it via PayPal & Payoneer.

Who Is Userfeel For?

People like to test websites to start making money online, although there is no consistent work available. You can combine Userfeel with other GPT sites to make more money if you like to turn your daily online activities into a few bucks. It’s possible to make $20-$50, depending on your commitment.

If you like to make $200+ per month, an online business is what you need to get what you want. This particular educational platform teaches everything I need to make my first commissions in less than one year. If I can do this, trust me, you can make it too.

Ugly Truth About Userfeel

TOP#1 Not Consistent

Each website owner has their preferences. For example, if the website is dog-related, those with dogs might be qualified for certain tests.

Also, website owners can set up various demographic criteria like age, gender, country, language, and level of web experience. You may not be qualified for any reason, so testing websites on Userfeel cannot be your primary because it’s not consistent.

TOP#2 Only Contact Form Support

Except for the official contact form support, you could also reach out to its social media account to get your questions solved. But, unfortunately, there are no phone numbers, chatbot, or Skype account available for any urgency.

TOP#3 Still Trade Time For Money

Same as other GPT sites, Userfeel is a good start to try how to make money online.

But, you are still trading your time for money, just like the 9-5 jobs you dislike. A better idea is to build your online business that brings long-term success to generate multiple passive income streams.

What I Liked About Userfeel

TOP#1 Good Pay

You get paid $10 per test, and each test takes around 10-20 minutes to complete. So if you are lucky to get 6 tests in one row, you’ll get $60 per hour, which is better than the average GPT site’s pay.

However, you should know that it’s competitive to get tests considering the higher amount of testers than the tests. So it’s unlikely you can get 6 tests in one hour.

TOP#2 All Countries Accepted

No matter where you are in the world, you can join Userfeel to test websites to make money online. However, there might get inconsistent work due to your locations, your lifestyle, or maybe your pets.

Some website owners give preferences to testers who meet their criteria for the business, so don’t take it personally.

TOP#3 No Threshold

Other GPT sites have a minimum threshold when you want to cash out, but in Userfeel, there is no limit. So you can cash out to your PayPal/Payoneer accounts whenever you got paid.

Is Userfeel A Scam?

No, it’s not a scam at all. It’s actually a legitimate platform where you can make money by testing websites, but it’s not enough to make this your primary income source.

Unlike testing others’ websites to make money online, I prefer to build one affiliate marketing website with quality content. I can write reviews for products that meet my expectations and useful for my fellow affiliate marketers.

By implementing good SEO & keyword research on my articles, I gain more chances to rank them higher on search engines so that people will land on my sites ahead of others. If they like my sharing and find value, they may purchase the products through my links. Here come my earning potentials.

The online income won’t fall on your lap without doing anything on your side. The more you are willing to put into your site, the more you stand to earn with it.

  1. I have never heard of testing websites as a way to earn an extra income. Userfeel seems like something unusual for me, but I like what they pay. It pays much higher than other testing and survey platforms and there is no limited threshold either, which is great! It would be interesting to try this out. It doesn’t seem to be time-consuming and I don’t mind that you can only contact the helpdesk via a contact form. As long as they reply promptly, I’m fine with it 🙂

    • Hi Christine,

Yes, Userfeel is a legitimate site where you can make extra money while you test some websites, but you are still trading your time for money. I agree with you that the “no threshold” requirement to cash out what you earn is a huge plus when it comes to Userfeel since no many GPT sites are willing to do this.

      Cheers,
      Matt

  2. Hey Matt,

Thanks for a great review on UserFeel; To be honest, I have never heard of them but after reading the info you have presented here about them I feel that it is still a bit tough to get individual tests as so many testers would be applying. $10 per test is definitely a good start and I don’t usually see that being offered on other sites with the same concept.

I tried using UTest which is similar but instead of reviewing websites, they pay you for testing out how different apps run on different devices and it is also country-specific. The payout is different based on what test you apply for. Have you heard of this? Perhaps you may want to look into it as well. I would love to know your thoughts!

    • Hi Sasha,

I am glad to see you back, and I hope it helps you well. Yes, doing Userfeel to make money still trades your time for money, so it’s not really something I like to engage in. It is a good start, but I really want to generate passive income streams with an online business. Check this platform if you also want the same thing. 🙂

Thanks a lot for bringing me another good subject to write about. I would take some time to dive into UTest very soon.

      Matt
