Seint is a beauty and cosmetics MLM company that helps women see their own beauty with makeup and offers them a business opportunity to make money. It was formerly known as MaskCara beauty and was rebranded to Seint in 2020.

Their culture is to share something you love(cosmetics) with people you care about, whether doing in-person and online parties or promoting your business on your favorite social media platforms.

There are two parts inside Seint, one is the products, and the second is the business plan. Let’s look at the products first.

Product Lines

They have a wide range of beauty and cosmetics products, which fall into the below categories:

IIID(3D) foundation is Seint’s flagship product. It has highlight, contour, lip+cheek, and illuminator, which help you show off the best aspects of your face, lift your cheeks, bring out the bone structure, creates a glowing complexion, highlight the things you love, and minimize the things you don’t.

Is Seint Makeup Good For You?

I don’t use Seint products, so I cannot give you my firsthand experience.

I found both positive and negative what others said about IIID(3D) foundation online. I hope they help you well.

In that case, you will have more confidence in the products you sell. Whenever your customers ask you something, you will have enough experiences to suggest suitable products.

How To Make Money With Seint?

There are two ways to make money with MLM companies, and Seint is no exception.

• Sell Seint Products to earn commissions
• Recruit people under your team to hit group sales targets for extra bonuses

Getting Started

To join Seint as an artist, you can purchase the starter kit, ranging from $99-$450.

Another cost of becoming a Seint artist is the monthly fee of $12.95, which covers your customer shipping fulfillment, customer service, and the back office for hosting your personal Seint website.

Now, we can calculate the total cost of becoming a Seint artist for one year.

• Artist kit $99-$450
• Monthly Fee $12.95*12=$155.4

The best case to start is $254.4, while the worst case is $605.4. Other costs are not included, such as additional training, travel, gas, food, or miscellaneous expense, so the total cost must be higher than my calculation.

Artist-in-Training

As an artist, you can earn while you learn. During this training period, you will work on your first 640 in commission volume (CV). Once you achieve 640CV and become active for the month, you are officially out of training and can earn more than 20% commissions.

Seint Compensation Plan

We have come to the most complicated part of every MLM business opportunity.

After reading the compensation plan, I usually have headaches immediately. Don’t worry here. I’ve tried my best to make it easier for you.

• Retail Commissions: 20%-40% of retail sales
• Artist-in-Training Bonus: Get an extra 10% on top of 20% retail commissions when you accumulate the first 640CV
• Enroller Bonus: 5-7% on the CV made by your personally enrolled artists
• Level Bonus: 2-5% when you help your team grow. This goes up to 5 levels deep
• Personal Leader Bonus: Earn an extra 2% of CV made by your entire team while you hit Artist VII.
• Generation Bonus: 3-4% of CV when your downlines hit Artist VII and earn Personal Leader Bonus, this goes to unlimited depth
• Party Rewards: Earn free products if you hit party sales of $200 and above

How Much Do You Need to Sell to Stay Active?

To be active, you must reach 240, 480, or 720 CV (depending on your rank) in a calendar month.

1. ARTIST II & III: Reach 240 CV in the qualifying month to stay active
2. ARTIST IV-VI: Reach 480 CV in the qualifying month to stay active
3. ARTIST VII-X: Reach 720 CV in the qualifying month to stay active

Ugly Truth About Seint

TOP#1 Expensive Products

Like other beauty and cosmetic MLMs, Seint’s products are more expensive than brands you can find online.

That is because Seint needs to pay artists commissions by selling the products and doing the promotions. It’s the same for every MLM in the industry.

Taking the flagship-IIID foundation as an instance, it costs around $60, while you can find the highest-rated products on Amazon that only cost $25-$30.

This makes selling difficult for every Seint artist. What is the point of buying two-time expensive Seint products when you can get affordable ones online?

TOP#2 Saturated & Competitive Market

When it comes to the beauty and cosmetic market, it’s a saturated and competitive market that I like to avoid.

I am sure some brands flashed in your mind just now. Seint competes not only with beauty & cosmetics MLMs but also with drugstore and high-end brands.

I reviewed similar MLMs not long ago, they are Seint’s competitors. Name a few here to prove my point:

TOP#3 Home Party

I don’t know about you, but I am introverted and not talkative. Hosting a home party is not my thing, and neither do MLMs that encourage distributors to host home parties.

Imagine the hard work before your party, cleaning the house, decorating, preparing food and drinks for guests/potential customers, and learning how to showcase the products.

Due to the pandemic, you can host online parties to make sales. You can either host parties on Facebook, Instagram, or Zoom meeting with your non-expiring party links.

TOP#4 Seint 2021 Income Disclosure

How Much Do Seint Artists Make? It’s the key element to know before joining its business plan.

Seint 2021 Income Disclosure tells interesting numbers:

• 28.84% earned $79
• 60.39% earned $1,025
• Only 0.3% earned $100k and more
• It takes 41-47 months to achieve the top ranking of Seint

The majority made around $1k in 2021 from Seint’s compensation plan. The number didn’t minus the expenses that every artist needs for promotion.

Just like what I mentioned in the previous paragraph, the actual numbers will be lower than this income disclosure. You might lose money eventually instead of making money.

What I Liked About Seint

TOP#1 Informative Website

There is a lot of helpful information on Seint’s website, and it’s a well-designed website where artists can get everything they need about products, ideas, and the company. You also get tutorials on applying makeup products and other marketing tools.

TOP#2 No Monthly Sales Quota

Unlike other MLMs, Seint doesn’t have any monthly sales quota. However, if you want to keep active and become eligible for commissions, you must achieve 240PV, 480PV, or 720PV, depending on your rank.

Can You Make Money Selling Seint?

Yes, I believe you can make money by selling Seint products, especially those extroverted people who like to meet different people and talk about makeup repeatedly. If you use the products and love them, Seint is the place to go.

Based on this article, 99% of MLM participants end up losing money and only 1% actually turn a profit. So, it’s not a “work from home and be your own boss” opportunity.

It’s good to be a side hustle, but it’s far from enough to pay your bills, let alone support your family.

Is Seint A Pyramid Scheme?

Let’s read Wikipedia’s definition of a pyramid scheme. “A pyramid scheme is a business model that recruits members via a promise of payments or services for enrolling others into the scheme, rather than supplying investments or sale of products.”

Seint offers beauty and cosmetics products that help people look pretty, so we cannot call it a pyramid scheme.

Is Seint A Scam?

No, it’s not a scam either. Typically, a scam or a pyramid scheme cannot survive the first year once people complain and report to the authority.

Seint has operated since 2013. If they were a scam, they couldn’t survive this long and keep growing for the next decade.
