A friend is using this app frankly because she has boxes of receipts but not to really make any money as the return on investment ($5 for $5000) seems a bit outlandish for the effort. Another factor that makes this a difficult choice for me is the requirement to be consistently active, plus some places don’t accept e-receipts. Your alternate recommendation for affiliate marketing seems a more viable option and one worth pursuing. I like it already since sign-up is free.

What a great review on Receipt Hog. I have heard of them but have never gone to find out about them or who they are. I noticed you say Owned by Numerator; who is Numerator? I take photos of my receipts all the time for Tax purposes. Do we have a similar thing in Australia? I noticed you say it is in the states, Canada, and the UK but not another country.

Using Receipt Hog app is only for fun and some cents, not for your primary income. I don’t suggest people only make money from this app since it doesn’t pay that well…If you like to make money online, I recommend Affiliate Marketing and Wealthy Affiliate(WA).
