However, as you mentioned, it is low-quality traffic, because the chances people are interested in your offer are very low. Rather, they care about getting credits. So, it is the worst case it can even work against your rankings as Google uses the time spent on one website as one of the ranking defining parameters. Hi Matt, never heard of Easyhits before, thanks for bringing it to my attention. I don’t really believe that you can just get easy traffic such as what is advertised by easyhits. As the screenshots you show explain, it appears that they just send a bunch of bots, and for me, that would simply anger me because it would make it harder for me to understand my analytics.
Out of curiosity, how does a traffic exchange service even work? You are getting guaranteed traffic, but how?
Are services posting ads on random YouTube videos and getting those ads to direct users toward your website?
Does the service have an expert team of hackers that hack other people’s computers to force them to be directed to your website?
Sorry, I know I am being silly, but how exactly do they get guaranteed traffic onto your website? I feel like you would need to entice users to visit your website, and I don’t see how throwing money down would do that.

The traffic exchange from EasyHits4U is free, or premium members surf on your site for 20 seconds to earn credits so that they can use the credit to request the same. If you want 20 visitors, you may use 20-40 credits depending on your membership.
So, people spend time or money exchanging for low-quality traffic to your site, which shows search engines that your site isn’t something people look for, hence doing more damage than good to your website. I don’t suggest affiliate marketing newbies go on this route. The best way to drive traffic to your site is SEO and keyword research, in my opinion.

Yes, that will hurt my website if visitors only stay on 20 seconds, causing Google to think my content is of no value and lower my rankings. I don’t recommend bloggers try traffic exchange platforms because it might do more damage than good. On the other hand, I suggest affiliate marketing newbies try SEO and keyword research to help with their rankings. It works so well for my blog, so I know it.

I guess this could really work if you’re looking to increase your website’s visibility by increasing website traffic, but it’s not worth it since it’s cold traffic. Users will stay on your site for 10 to 20 seconds, which shows Google that your website offers “not much of value” to them, so this could work against you.
I believe that using good old SEO skills works best, at least you get real people, not bots, and people who are genuinely interested in your content. Easyhits4u seems like a traffic cheater, and cheating always gets you in trouble 😉

I leverage SEO to bring traffic back to my site, and people love my sharing. I wrote product reviews that they are interested in, and they will try my recommendations down the road. This is a better approach if newbies like to get more traffic. 🙂

Hi Matt, I always feel free traffic sites like Easy Hits 4U are bad for Google rankings. As visitors are only staying on your site for 20 seconds it could signal a low-quality website. Even if your blog is well designed with keyword-rich content, Google may still see it as being of poor quality. I agree, it’s far better to use SEO for getting traffic. This way you’re targeting the right audience who will find you through searching keywords.
It may take longer to start seeing any traffic, but at least it will be targeted.

I am not sure how I feel about traffic exchanges, to begin with. I have heard of easyhits4u before but never tried it. I am not sure it is worth my time if traffic does not convert.

I have to admit that I’m highly skeptical about a traffic exchange program in much the same way I witnessed websites getting slammed by Google Algorithm updates (especially Panda) when people were doing link exchange programs.
This affected many websites on the Solo Build It platform (back then it was Site Build It, and I was there for over 12 years), where they actually had a link exchange program. Luckily, I didn’t get seriously into this as it did feel disingenuous to me.
That’s my fear about traffic exchange and/or paid programs like this.
Now, driving organic traffic feels more genuine to me, but I know in my 16+ years of blogging that it’s slow. Really, there’s no way around it.
While there might be the rare exception here and there that might have temporarily gotten away with gaming the system, eventually, the system catches up and that’s how unsuspecting people caught up in the schemes get scammed.
So the bottom line is I’m not sold on EasyHit4U, but then again, maybe I’m old school and there’s something I’ve closed my mind to.
