Covert Commissions is created by IM Wealth Builders back in 2015 when Soren Joransen, John Merrick, and Cindy Donovan still worked together. She bought Covert Commission back from IM Wealth Builders and re-launched in 2018 with additional features to make it more appealing.

It’s a DFY affiliate marketing system that gives you pre-made sales funnels, so you don’t have to. All you need to do is to drive traffic to your sales funnels. Cindy did provide all that she mentioned in the sales video, but I also found some major downsides about this platform. I will reveal them further down and you be the judge, deal?

Once you pay $27 to join Covert Commissions, you will need to follow the below 6 steps to get your done-for-you sales funnels that include a landing page, confirmation page, thank you page, and email follow-up sequence.

Step 01: Join Covert Commissions

The first step is always to pay the membership, it costs $27 per month/ $197 per year/ $297 one-time payment. But, there are upsells I am going to cover later on that might make you spend hundreds or thousands eventually.

Step 02: Apply for Affiliate Networks

Cindy only mentions four affiliate networks such as ClickBank, WarriorPlus, PayKickSstart, and JVZoo where you can find affiliate products to promote then earn commissions.

Step 03: Add Affiliate Links Into Covert Commissions System

In Covert Commissions’ member area, you can add your affiliate links from the above four affiliate networks. Once done, the system will insert your affiliate links into the email autoresponder and all other promotional resources to help you promote your links.

Step 04: Get Credits

When you join Covert Commissions, you will get five credits. These five credits could be used for exchanging sales funnels from 60 pre-made templates, and each funnel includes a landing page, email autoresponder, and other tools.

One credit brings you one sales funnel only. If you run out of credits, you can get more by purchasing it.

Step 05: Choose One “Mission”

The “Mission” in Covert Commissions means the sales funnels. Each funnel represents one affiliate product. So, in this step, you can choose one product to promote.

Step 06: Drive Traffic

The last step is to drive traffic to your landing page provided to you in the sales funnel. Once you drive traffic to your landing page, the system will do the rest & turn your leads into buyers. When someone purchases the product you are promoting, you earn commissions from that sale.

Who Is Covert Commissions For?

I would say experienced affiliate marketers can benefits the most from Covert Commissions.

For beginners, it’s normal that you don’t know much about driving traffic, so you need to google it & purchase another program to help you understand before you run your campaigns.

In my opinions, there are better options like Wealthy Affiliate and Project 24 by Income School than Covert Commissions since both of them provide traffic related training courses.

Ugly Truth About Covert Commissions

TOP#1 Hypes

After going through Cindy’s sales page again, I did find some misleading hypes that might guide people in an incorrect direction.

For example, she said that “Covert Commissions Is A Hands-Free, Done For You Affiliate Email Marketing Service.” But, didn’t we all need to drive traffic to our landing pages? So how come it’s a hands-free system?

She also mentions that “100% newbie-friendly”, but does a newbie understand the ways about how to drive traffic? I keep asking myself these questions…

TOP#2 Done-For-You & Duplicate

I understand how easy it is to run your affiliate marketing campaigns through a done-for-you system, but have you ever thought that everyone joins Covert Commissions will use the same sales funnels to promote online?

In that case, search engines will think those are duplicate content & rank them at the bottom. And, the other Covert Commissions members who use the same sales funnels become your competitors which makes things worse…

Cindy mentions this is a done-for-you system, but actually it’s not 100% done-for-you. You still need to drive traffic to your landing page. What if a total newbie joins Covert Commission and s/he doesn’t know what traffic is or how to drive traffic?

And, what if the system got shut down by Cindy when she wants to launch another brand-new system that combines all the other systems from her? Then, your business vanishes immediately. I still prefer to learn all the process and build one on my own to avoid this risk.

TOP#3 Upsells & Extra Costs

Upsells & Extra costs are two things that I don’t like from any digital programs. I would rather the founders tell me the total cost before I join, instead of charging me extra fees after I pay $27.

If you run out of your first 5 credits that come with the initial payment, you would have to pay $9.97 per credit or $47 for five credits. Furthermore, you are encouraged to purchase Cindy’s another product called “Email Suite Pro” which costs $9.97 monthly/ $47 annually/ $97 one-time payment.

All of these might sum up another $100 per month for your online business, so please take note & think twice before join.

What I Liked About Covert Commissions

TOP#1 Cheaper Than Others

Considering the starting price at $27, it’s quite cheaper to start an online business with Covert Commissions, and it’s not liking any MLM or any other online opportunities.

I believe most of us could spare $27 or more every month to try a legitimate platform to run your online business. If you know one thing or two about affiliate marketing & email marketing, the costs of basic services are easily exceeding $50 per month. Not to mention you still need to spend lots of time writing your own emails.

TOP#2 Under-Promise

What Cindy promised via Covert Commissions system is all delivered once you pay $27 to join. Even though the sales page looks over-hyped, but she keeps her promises at the very least.

I don’t find any fake testimonials of Covert Commissions since I often see that in other online scams or online scams in disguise. I think Cindy did her best to make the process easier for some affiliate marketers, but just not for me!

TOP#3 A 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you don’t like Covert Commissions within the first 30 days after purchase, you can request a refund. It’s quite nice that we can take money back when the internet is full of scams.

Although most of the scams nowadays provide the same money-back guarantee, you need to meet the criteria to have your money back. Just remember it might take a long while to take your money in some cases.

Is Covert Commissions A Scam?

No, Covert Commissions is not a scam based on what I just showed you. It has many done-for-you sales funnels that help you build your online business to make commissions through affiliate marketing. Although I don’t like some parts of the system, it doesn’t mean it’s a scam.

For me, I don’t like a done-for-you system to create things that every member will also get to run the online campaigns. I prefer to build a website with quality content to help people and provide them value, so they will like my sharing eventually & come back checking my updates.
