Arthur and Shirley Levin founded Park Lane Jewelry in 1955. It’s an MLM company that offers jewelry and helps its distributors to make money.

As of this writing, Park Lane Jewelry runs business operations in 13 countries, including Australia, Canada, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Scotland, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and of course, the United States!

What’s inside Park Lane Jewelry?

We have many to talk about today, but the most important things are the products and the business plan. Let’s talk about the products first.

Park Lane Jewelry Product Lines

Here are the main product lines from Park Lane. I am sure you already get some pieces, so it’s effortless for all distributors to sell jewelry to potential customers.

Not many explanations or product descriptions are needed for the promotion, and the simple rule is that you wear Park Lane Jewelry to showcase the products at your home parties!

  • Bracelets
  • Necklaces
  • Earrings
  • Rings
  • Watches
  • Men’s: bracelets, rings, necklaces.
  • Monthly Specials

Besides the above product lines, Park Lane also provides collections below:

  • Fundraiser: 50% of all sales goes to your chosen charities. You make money and do charity simultaneously.

  • Monthly Specials: The items of the month
  • Rich Rewards Club: Sell specific jewelry to get higher rewards
  • Wedding Collection: Jewelry for wedding

Do Park Lane Jewelry Products Work?

I don’t wear Park Lane jewelry, so I cannot give you my firsthand experience. My curiosity forced me to find out what real customers said about Park Lane Jewelry. Here is what I found online:

-The Positive-

-The Negative-

Both positive and negative comments are equally essential to knowing Park Lane’s product quality and customer service. You may use the above as a reference to evaluate this business opportunity.

How Does Park Lane Jewelry Work?

For any MLM, there are two ways to make money through the system, and Park Lane is no exception.

  1. Sell products to make retail commissions.
  2. Recruit people to become your downlines and hit sales targets for extra bonuses and incentives.

You don’t make money from the recruitment, but the group sales target you and your personally enrolled downlines and their downlines. This is the major difference between a legitimate MLM and a pyramid scheme.

Getting Started

To start selling Park Land Jewelry products, you can sign up to become one of the social stylists. Once completing the signup, you can purchase one of the starter kits from the below options.

  1. Quick Starter Kit $99: $500 worth of jewelry best suits your aesthetic.
  2. Standard Kit $229: $1000 value
  3. Presidential Kit $639: $2500 value

You may see the below image to know what Park Lane Jewelry content is inside each starter kit.

The cost doesn’t stop here. WHAT?

Besides the starter kit, there is an annual subscription fee of $100 that everyone needs to renew their membership with Park Lane Jewelry.

If you like to be eligible for commissions, bonuses, and incentives, you need to have $200 per month at least. Let’s calculate the total cost of joining as a social stylist for one year.

  • $99-$639 Starter Kit
  • $100 Annual Subscription Fee
  • $200 Monthly Requirement to be eligible for commissions

The best case is $2,599, while the worst is $3,139. Other costs, such as additional training, travel, gas, food, or miscellaneous expenses, are not included, so the total cost must be higher than my calculation.

Park Lane Jewelry Compensation Plan

Here we come to the most complicated part of this review.

Most MLMs like to create fancy terms and acronyms to make people see loads of ways to make money, and that’s why people feel confused and never understand the compensation plan.

Don’t worry today. I’ve tried my best to make Park Lane commissions easier for you:

  • Retail Commissions: 30%-50% depending on your ranking. Higher the ranking, the higher the commission rate.
  • Weekly GV Overrides: 5%-10% paid on group sales volume increment.
  • Monthly Overrides: When you reach Area Manager or above, you start earning monthly overrides. It’s 10% on sales volume made by your Fashion Directors & 6% made by Branch Directors and their group sales.
  • Monthly Recruiting Bonus: When you reach Division Manager with ten quailed personal recruits, you earn a $500 bonus. For Senior Division Manager, it takes 20 quailed personal recruits for $500. For Sales Vice President, it needs 30 recruits.
  • Annual Bonus: If you are an Area Manager and your area sales reach $100,000, you start earning Annual Bonus. It’s an extra $2,000, $5,000 or $10,000 based on your total area sales.
  • Other Incentives: Mercedes car program, travel opportunities, etc.

How Much Do You Need to Sell For Commissions?

You need at least a $200 personal sales order or one new direct recruit to keep yourself eligible for commissions or extra bonuses. By achieving this, you can also earn overrides and bonuses the following month.

Park Lane Jewelry Ranking

There are seven levels in Park Lane Jewelry. You could start from a fashion director and then climb the ranking ladder to the top – Sales Vice President.

Typically, the higher the ranking, the more requirements are needed to maintain your status.

  1. Fashion Director
  2. Branch Director
  3. Region Manager
  4. Area Manager
  5. Division Manager
  6. Sr. Division Manager
  7. Sales Vice President

Ugly Truth About Park Lane Jewelry

TOP#1 No Income Disclosure

I want to find the income disclosure from Park Lane for the exact number every fashion director or social stylist makes in a year, but there is nothing on their website.

This implies that Park Lane wants to hide the truth that almost everyone fails to make decent money through its compensation plan.

TOP#2 Parties, Parties, and Parties

To maximize your potential earnings, Park Lane Jewelry encourages you to host parties after parties, which could be exhausting.

Imagine yourself hosting parties on weekends to demonstrate the jewelry to your family, friends, neighbors, or anyone who may come over. It’s loads of work!

My house is where I want to relax and have peace of mind, so this is definitely not my thing.

TOP#3 Expensive Jewelry

Compared to Paparazzi Jewelry, $5 for every piece, the prices of Park Lane are way too high for certain types of products. Considering some negative comments about the quality issues, I will not throw my money to buy Park Lane Jewelry!

What I Liked About Park Lane Jewelry

TOP#1 A Replicate Website

For every member who joins Park Lane Jewelry, they will offer you a personal but replicate website to generate online sales.

I think the internet is the future of any business, so it’s great to see Park Lane catches the last train.

Building a website to generate sales isn’t easy. You need to know how to do SEO well and do your content’s keyword research well. Not to mention to find a platform for your website hosting and purchase your domain name, but I am glad this platform does everything for me.

?Pro Tip: How I Built a Website in One Minute?

Who Is Park Lane Jewelry For?

Women love jewelry and can’t wait for another second to share it with people.

If you also like Park Lane jewelry and love hosting home parties for as many people as possible, you must go for a try. It’s highly likely to make good money with something you are interested in.

Can You Make Money Selling Park Lane Jewelry?

Yes, there should be someone who makes good money with Park Lane Jewelry while the majority fail.

Otherwise, I don’t think it can last for 67 years and still run business operations in 13 countries worldwide.

Is Park Lane Jewelry A Scam?

No, Park Lane is not a scam at all. Although there is no income disclosure from the official website to know the average annual income made by a fashion director, we still can’t say it’s a scam.

Park Lane offers many jewelry and accessories for everyone to make sales for commissions and extra bonuses. Remember, your passion for Park Lane Jewelry will overcome the obstacles on your way to success!

Before you join Park Lane Jewelry, I hope you read this review carefully. For every decision you make to make money with Park Lane Jewelry, you need to think twice and be responsible for it.

I won’t choose Park Lane because my alternative way to make money online is way more lucrative.

My Alternative Way to Make Money Online

My alternative way to make money online is through affiliate marketing instead of promoting Park Lane Jewelry in person.

Imagine you sell Park Lane Jewelry to your friends, family, or anyone you know. Don’t you feel embarrassed or blushed? They might avoid you ever since.

Doing affiliate marketing will save you from that:

  • It’s free to start your affiliate marketing business.
  • You don’t need to buy physical products and sell them face to face.
  • There is no monthly minimum sales quota in affiliate marketing.
  • You don’t recruit people to become your downlines to build a team.
  • You are not restricted to promoting one product. You can promote anything you like!
  • Work on your schedules & you are your OWN BOSS!

You only need to start a blog with quality content. So every time people land on your site to read your articles, they will find insight and value.

If they like it, they may purchase the products or services via your links. Here come your earning potentials.

The Process of Affiliate Marketing

  1. Hey Matt,

Thanks for sharing this MLM review. Unless you get onboard when an MLM first gets going, it will be really difficult to make a mark and earn a good living.

Most MLM members are losing money due to the nature of the business. Unless you are a born salesperson and recruiter, it will be difficult to make decent money.

You can benefit from online marketing to boost your sales, but you won’t learn what you need to from an MLM. But you could utilize what you can learn from your top recommended program to have a chance of making an MLM opportunity like this work…

    • Hi John,

You are correct! People must join an MLM when it’s still young, and you’ll have a chance to succeed. Becoming an MLM distributor takes a lot, including sales & presentation skills, recruiting, and leadership. People quickly quit when they don’t see positive results in the first three months. That’s probably why the success rate is only 1-2% in the MLM industry.

Running an affiliate marketing business ONLY takes a little but bigger chances to succeed. You are not restricted to promoting one company’s products, but whatever you like. By doing that, you will feel fun doing things you are interested in and less work. 🙂

      Cheers,
      Matt

  2. Hi Matt. Thanks for your another in-depth MLM review. The price to join Park Lane Jewelry is astonishing. I appreciate you also mentioned the additional costs included in such an MLM business. For instance, traveling to potential recruits and so on. Considering this, but also the quality of the product, I agree with you it is not worth joining. (I mean, cmon almost 3 000$ a year for such a business?) Your recommendation is a much better option for starters. Is the training inside your recommendation worth it?

    • Hi Julius,

Thanks for the comment. I hope it helps. The cost to become a Park Lane Jewelry affiliate a year is too high to recoup the investment, let alone make profits. I don’t mean you cannot make money with it, but it is just too hard. Wealthy Affiliate is the best platform for people who like to build an affiliate marketing business to make money online. I joined it three years ago and leveraged it to make a stable online income. The training, the community, and the support are top-notch. I highly recommend it!

      Cheers,

  3. Hi Matt – Thank you for reviewing this company. It definitely isn’t something that’s in my wheelhouse. And much like you, the idea of hosting parties doesn’t sound fun to me. In general, I tend to stay away from anything that even resembles an MLM. Even though Park Lane Jewelry doesn’t appear to be a scam, there just seems to be too many upfront costs and not enough rewards. Appreciate you sharing your insight into this company, well done!

    • Hi Dereck,

I love to see you back to my blog again, and I hope this review helps you well. 🙂 There are many ways to make money, and MLM is just one of them. When making money offline or online, I prefer affiliate marketing instead of an MLM business. Why? The reason is simple. MLM needs you to invest first before starting, while affiliate marketing only takes a little to build your online business.

I’ve leveraged Wealthy Affiliate to generate a stable online income, so I know it’s possible. You are more than welcome to check my full WA review here.

  4. Hosting parties also needs a lot of investment, so you will need to sell a lot of jewelry to get a return on the money you used for the party and the money you used to buy the inventory … It’s too much work to just sell some jewelry. Or you could just show up at parties of course, which I think most salespeople would do. Anyway, judging by the comments, it’s not even real silver and it caused some allergies with some customers. The refund policy also seems to be slow or non-existent and I would have a hard time working for a company like that.

    • Hi Christine,

Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment. Yes, the nature of an MLM is like what you said; it takes lots of effort to promote the product and recruit people under your team. Not to mention the expensive startup cost, negative online complaints, and allergy issues.

I think MLMs are for people who are born extroverted. If you are shy and introverted, it may not suit you well. I’ll recommend affiliate marketing to make money online because this platform taught me everything to start a blog and generate a stable income. If I can do this, trust me, you can make it too.

  5. Hi Matt,

In these days of Coronavirus, hosting home parties is not practical (or possible, depending on the current lockdown rules in your location).

Therefore, the Internet is the best way of getting people interested. However, the problem with those replicated websites is that the search engines do not like them and don’t return them high in the rankings. That means you have to pay money to get reasonable traffic to them.

The only real way to do this, then, without shelling out lots of money, is to have your own website, on your own domain, and add good quality content focused on jewellery matters – which is quite a lot of work and will take some time.

The traditional means of promoting MLM businesses through home parties is, I think, over, which will force people to be more creative in the way they promote them.

    Cheers,

    Martin.

    • Hi Martin,

Yes, the internet is where we should put our attention on, and it’s sad to see that Park Lane focuses on face-to-face selling & hosting home parties. You are also correct about the duplicate website that will get punished by all search engines with bottom ranking, so you might need to run paid ads to drive traffic, which costs hundreds or even thousands.
If people need a real online business, Wealthy Affiliate is one of the top affiliate marketing program that could help them in the right direction. I am sure that you also agree with me on this. 🙂

      Cheers,
      Matt
