What I Liked About Melaleuca

TOP#1 Good Reputation For Its Products

There are so lots of positive feedback for Melaleuca’s products, and customers love the way Melaleuca cares about our health and the environment.

Mr. VanderSloot established a research and development department that evolved into a 20-person staff, including three Ph.D. chemists.

I love this slogan from their website: “The air we breathe, what we eat and drink, and even what touches our skin can have major impacts on our health. At Melaleuca, we do not compromise. Products must be both safe and effective.”

They also have four values that each Melaleuca product must be: safe, effective, eco-friendly, and affordable.

Melaleuca understands that only good products and services could make a company last longer and does a good job.

Let’s read some positive feedback from Melaleuca’s customers:

TOP#2 Long History

Melaleuca was founded in 1985 that means it runs business over 35 years. Based on this article, 90% of startups failed. The reason why Melaleuca lasts is that the high-quality products they make and those do solve people’s problems.

You need to provide a solution or any sort of help to your customers. Once you achieve this, your customers will come back and purchase your products and services again and again.

Another thought on the long history of Melaleuca is that If I have to choose between a new and an old MLM company, I would go for the old one first. Doing this could avoid many uncertainties from the new MLM company.

TOP#3 A+ Rating on BBB

BBB stands for Better Business Bureau, and HERE is Melaleuca’s page.

They got a good rating(A+) on BBB, and I also suggest you check the company behind the products you would like to buy automatically. It will show some customer complaints, so you could be prepared.

A good rating doesn’t mean it’s perfect. Melaleuca still has its own issues on the cancellation process, and I would talk about this later on.

Ugly Truth About Melaleuca

TOP#1 Pricey

I understand Mr. VanderSloot established an R&D team with three Ph.D. chemists, but should the price go up and worth every penny from our pocket?

As I go through Melaleuca’s catalog, I don’t find products with unreasonable prices. But, they are pricey than other brands.

Take coffee blend as an example, the price for a Melaleuca’s preferred member is $9.99 for 10 oz while I could get a cheaper price for the same on Amazon.

Melaleuca's products are pricey.

TOP#2 Most Beginners Failed

I have to tell you the cruel truth that most people who ever joined Melaleuca failed in the end and you could have the income disclosure HERE.

Although Melaleuca has a good reputation for its products, it doesn’t ensure that everyone could make money and replace the 9-5 job.

Melaleuca mentions there are around 11% of members who achieved director status and the average annual income is $2,101. (That’s only $175 per month.)

Meaning the other 89% of members make less than $2,101 and they quitted eventually.

$2,101 is way below the normal salary from your 9-5 jobs, so you may not quit by joining Melaleuca and selling the products.

Melaleuca mentions there are around 11% of members who achieved director status and the average annual income is $2,101.

TOP#3 Cancellation Process

On Melaleuca’s BBB page, most complaints are about its cancellation process.

Melaleuca’s cancellation includes a lot of paperwork, and it’s not as easy as clicking a cancellation button.

Once you follow all the instructions and guidelines on their website, you need to print out the cancellation form with your signature. Then, you can either email, send, or walk in the nearest Melaleuca’s showroom to submit it.

It sounds not difficult, BUT, people complained a lot about the process.

If there are only a few negative comments for the cancellation process, I would think it might be the issue from the customer side.

The truth is that Melaleuca’s cancellation process is problematic and they need to fix it.
