What Is Eclipse?

-Summary of Eclipse-

Product Name: Eclipse
Founders: Jono Armstrong and Brendan Mace
Product Type: Affiliate Marketing Program through YouTube Ads
Price: $12.95 + upsells
Recommend: NO

Eclipse is a step-by-step training on leveraging YouTube ads to promote your affiliate products on top of popular YouTube videos. They claimed you could hijack the gurus’ traffic in 30 seconds.

YouTube ads are not unknown affiliate strategies as the creators claim on the sales page, and it aims to get your attention.

After digging deep, there are red flags that push me away from it. I will list them one by one, so you will get more information to make up your mind.

Inside Eclipse

Just like Jono and Brendan’s other products, they never clearly mentioned what’s inside or how it works.

You will only know that after paying your hard-earned cash. You will also hit one upsell after another before landing on what you purchase.

This product is about using YouTube ads to get traffic to your affiliate offers that online marketers have used for a long while. Jono will provide you with training videos, bonuses, and upsells to help you understand the process.

Pro Tip: How To Drive Traffic From YouTube?

Training

Jono does well to show you every process inside the training videos. He split into easy, intermediate, and advanced, so you won’t get overwhelmed when you first start trying. Once you complete each training, you can move on to the next one to learn more skills.

Method 01 – Easy

If you are shy about being in front of a camera to make your video, this is for you.

Jono shows you how to use other people’s videos to promote ClickBank products that you don’t need to be approved for affiliate programs.

Pro Tip: How I Find Affiliate Programs?

Method 02 – Intermediate

In method 02, you will learn how to promote JVZoo and WarriorPlus products using the product’s demo videos and bonus pages. This is the second tip from Jono you don’t need to make your videos.

PS. You need to meet specific requirements of both platforms to get approved to join the affiliate program.

For JVZoo, you need a sales page with a verifiable JVZoo button, tracking pixel, thank you page, and delivery file for your customers.

For WarriorPlus, you need to write an email to the vendors who will manually approve you at their sole discretion.

Pro Tip: How I Build Pages Within 60 Seconds?

Method 03 – Advanced

Method 03 shows you how to make your videos and target gurus’ YouTube channels.

You will learn to find YouTube channels promoting products in the same niche. So, you can add your video ads on top of their YouTube videos that promote the same products.

This is how you hijack their traffic. You will earn commissions if their audience clicks your ads to purchase the product through your affiliate links.

Bonuses

Besides the training, Jono and Brendan also provide you the below bonuses to help you:

  • The Fuego Breakout: How to use targeted traffic and channel it into multiple 4-figure paydays

Upsells

Yes, upsells… It’s the same as other products from Jono and Brendan. They try to help you with upsells to maximize your earning potential.

  1. Done For You Campaigns $197: 2 DFY campaigns per week from Jono for one year, including a review video, video ads, a bonus page, and emails.
  2. Steal Our 3.8 Million List $197: Put your tracking pixels on their sales pages and take advantage of hundreds of thousands of visitors.
  3. $1K Daily Hack $197: Use their video ads and targeting with their high ticket offer, which pays out $1000 commissions per sale.
  4. Eclipse Outsourcer $77: Over 30 monetizable channels you can use to place your eclipse system over.
  5. License Rights $167: A license that allows you to sell Eclipse as your product and keep 100% commissions.

PS. Those are all optional, not mandatory. If you close the first three upsell windows, you will get a $50 discount immediately. For upsell 4 & 5, you will get $20 and $100 off if you try to close the sales page.

Who is Eclipse For?

Experienced affiliate marketers like creating a new traffic source for their affiliate offers.

If you are a beginner, I suggest you choose a legitimate training platform to learn the foundation of affiliate marketing.

Wealthy Affiliate teaches me how to build my affiliate marketing website from scratch. I’ve managed to make my first commissions in less than one year. Trust me, if I can make it, you can.

Ugly Truth About Eclipse

TOP#1 Hidden Costs

Here are some hidden costs that Jono and Brendan didn’t mention on the sales page.

You must spend more to make this training work for you. In the toolbox, they will direct you to the 3rd parties services:

  • GetResponder: $15-$99 per month
  • Commission Gorilla: $199 per year, much lower than ClickFunnels
  • Paid Ads: $$$ easy costs you hundreds or thousands before making your first commissions

TOP#2 Upsells

I don’t like upsells, to be honest. If the front-end product is good enough, what is the need to purchase upsells?

It implies that the front-end is not ready to deliver what it claims on the sales page, which makes it less effective, right?

  1. Done For You Campaigns $197
  2. Steal Our 3.8 Million List $197
  3. $1K Daily Hack $197
  4. Eclipse Outsourcer $77
  5. License Rights $167

If you insist on buying all the above, Eclipse’s total cost rises to $835 or $565 if you close the window of each sale page… This is too much for affiliate marketing newbies.

You can also check my reviews of their products all come with upsells. (The Secret Weapon7 Minute Sales MachineSmash My CampaignsStealthDBoomerang Buddy, Octane, and 0 to $100 In 24 Hours)

TOP#3 Not A Long-Term Solution

Placing YouTube ads on top of YouTubers’ videos might work for the short-term, but it’s not a long-term solution. It’s just one of the affiliate marketing methods.

The best approach is to build your affiliate marketing website and a YouTube channel with quality content or product reviews to provide your audience with great value and help.

What I Liked About Eclipse

TOP#1 Easy To Follow

Jono provides easy-to-follow training that everyone can apply, and he has been doing this for more than one decade & he knows what he is teaching.

You will get his tips and secrets to learn how this affiliate marketing method works for your affiliate offers, and it’s possible that you can drive more traffic to make more sales.

TOP#2 A 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

They provide a 30-day money-back guarantee, so if you purchase it via WarriorPlus, you can request a refund within 30 days.

Other online sources indicated that the creators might ignore your requests and wait until your guarantee expires, so you may need to fight for your hard-earned cash.

In most cases, the money-back guarantee only applies to the front-end product. For the upsells, Jono and Brendan only provide a 3-day money-back guarantee. You need to be cautious about it!

Is Eclipse A Scam?

No, it’s not a scam at all. Jono and Brendan provide the training, bonuses, and upsells to get you covered.

But, with all the red flags I shared, I won’t go one step further to recommend people interested in making money online through affiliate marketing.

I prefer to start a blog with quality content, like the one you are reading. If my readers like my sharing, they will check my latest updates once in a while, bookmark my site in their browser, or try the service or tools I recommend.

  1. Hey Matt,

thanks for a great post! This is probably one of the most in-depth reviews of Eclipse on the internet. Good job!

I have only one thing to say. Upsell and hidden fees are always a red flag and should make you think of what else could negatively impact your use of the service then.

Good job on finding this out and posting for everyone to see! Keep up the good work.

    Cheers,

    • Hi Dario,

Thanks for your comment, which motivates me today. I share my thoughts about programs that I met online to find myself the best one, and my readers can benefit from my product reviews. It’s a win-win situation!
YouTube worth a try since it’s the 2nd largest search engine on the internet, so people may need to find the perfect one to teach them everything about the process.

      Cheers,
      Matt

  2. Hi Matt,

Very insightful review about the Eclipse program.

I did not know there were training and affiliate program via Youtube videos. As you said, I think if a service offer upsells that means that the initial product is not as good as they pretend. Thanks for sharing these precious reviews that will help many people make an informed decision 🙂

    Continue the great work

    Cheers!

    • Hi Arno,

Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment here on my Eclipse review! Some people like to purchase the upsells to make the whole program complete, while some loathe them. I am the latter.
If Jono and Brendan could tell us upfront about all the costs involved on the sales page, I would say that is acceptable. But, they tend to tell you upsells after you handed over your hard-earned cash… In that case, my recommendation seems so much better and honest on this part.

      Cheers,
      Matt

  3. The strategies mentioned inside this course are indeed legit, but the thing that concerns me the most is that this opportunity is not a long-term sustainable one.

To everyone wondering whether they should purchase Eclipse – don’t waste your time with systems like these. They do work, but paid advertising is not somewhere that you want to start as a beginner.

There’s more to what meets the eye, and I’m sure that Matt will agree on that! I was a member of WA for nearly three years, and now I’ve moved on to build my very own successful affiliate marketing business.

The techniques I learned with their help got me to where I am today, and I owe a huge chunk of my success to them! I highly recommend you check them out!

    • Hi Gorjan,

Yes, to generate a stable online income from YouTube is to make your own videos to share value to your audience, which is a good way to develop a long-term business. Also, running paid ads to drive traffic is not advisable for all beginners who just start their online journey.
It’s good to know that you are also a WA member, and thanks for backing me up here. Sometimes, your feedback outweighs my whole review. If you have any online business issues, don’t hesitate to contact me inside Wealthy Affiliate. I am always happy to help you and support each other.

      Cheers,

  4. Thank you for such an indepth and informative review of Eclipse. I’ve not come across the program yet, but it could be a good buy for those who a bit of experience. I’ve often thought about using Youtube as a traffic source, and looked for a decent training program. The basic front end product should be enough to get started, but I’d be very wary of any upsells. As you only have 3 days to request a refund it doesn’t give much time to try them out. In addition, DFY campaigns won’t be original as other buyers will have access to them as well.

    • Hi Kathy,

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment on my Eclipse review. Yes, YouTube had become the 2nd largest search engine on the internet, so it is worth trying to treat it as a new traffic source. If you like to try YouTube and make your own videos, I would say there are better training programs than Eclipse. So, doing online researches before any purchases is a good way to get yourself a perfect program. In that case, you won’t be wasting money on those upsells that come with a 3-day money-back guarantee since we cannot know how good they go in such a short time.

      Cheers,
      Matt

  5. Despite the fact that all three methods are legitimate, I still believe that Eclipse is just a one expensive sales funnel that benefits Jono and Brendan the most. I’ve seen a ton of these get-rich-quick schemes created by the duo and it’s always the same song with them.

Ok, the methods are legit, and they probably work. However, they never say that these methods are hard and require a lot of time and effort. Instead, the sales page is full of fake hype and misleading claims designed to trick us into believing that this offer is going to make us rich by the end of the week.

Thanks for clearing the air, Matt. I’m not going to invest my money into Eclipse. I’m sure I can learn all three methods on YouTube for free.

    • Hi Ivan,

Yes, that is the duo’s pattern to lure people into the low-priced front-end product and promote them expensive upsells to make more money at people’s expenses. So, doing online researches before making any purchase is the first thing to do.
Driving traffic from YouTube is legitimate, but the reality is that you need to create your own quality videos to share value and support to your audience. You also need to build trust with them before your promotions. It’s just like what you said, “It requires a lot of time and effort!” In this case, I will not recommend Eclipse to my readers and recommend them Wealthy Affiliate instead.

      Cheers,
      Matt
