  1. Thanks for this review of Generate Press, Matt. I’m a current user of GP and just wanted to share my feedback here. I found about GP a year ago when I noticed that my old theme caused a lot of damage to my site. It was slow and full of errors, which caused my rankings to drop and even being removed from the SERP!

I installed GeneratePress and did some optimization to my site and viola, I was back in the business. I’m a premium user and I have just paid for another year. I really have only good things to say about this theme. Highly recommended!

    • Hi Ivan,

Thanks for your backup here. Sometimes, your words outweigh my whole article, so I appreciated a lot what you’ve commented here.

GeneratePress is a light-weighted theme for any website, and people will have a quicker user experience when they land on your site to read your articles. Due to the light-weighted size, the website speed becomes better, and it also helps your rankings.

For the premium version, you get more features to adjust everything on your website, and I think it’s a great bargain since it’s so powerful that you only need a few clicks to make the whole website looks pretty. I love it and will love to be a loyal & happy customer. 🙂

      Cheers,
      Matt

  2. Hi, Matt,

Wonderful review here, I love it!

I have one question. You said the GeneratePress theme is super light which makes loading of the website much faster.

How do I know if my webiste is loading fast or no? Is it searching it manually in Google and accessing it and see how fast it loads?

Or there are some numbers behind this process I should look for in my website’s dashboard?

I appreciate your feedback on this!

    Cheers,
    Natalie

    • Hi Natalie,

If you are a premium member of Wealthy Affiliate, you can check the website speed inside the platform. There are three indicators with scores that show you how fast your website loads, which helps me a lot. Normally, I check my scores after publishing a new article to my website to know how I can improve the site speed, and I find the main reasons that slow down my speed include the below:

      The heavy-weighted images
      The embedded videos

So, I tend to use light-weighted images and remove some videos from my articles for better speed.

      Cheers,
      Matt

  3. Hi Matt,

This was an excellent review of Generate Press. Although I use the free version, I did not know many of the things you shared here in your article. The free version works very well for me, and I am another one of those happy customers 🙂
The paid version comes with many benefits, I like that it includes copyright. It is also amazing that you can use the Premium version on as many websites as you like. How do you download it and add it to an existing website if you share the Premium version with a client?

    • Hi Christine,

Love to see you back again, like this connection. 🙂

I am a happy GeneratePress theme user too! The Premium version allows you to customize more elements of your website with easy-to-use options, and I love it. It saves me lots of time to adjust my website in a way I want it to be without any coding skills needed.

After you become a premium user, you can download the premium plugin to your desktop in a zip file. Upload it to your plugin page & active all the items. Then, uou will be able to use the premium version for your website. If you want to use for your clients websites, you can upload to your clients’ website’s plugin pages & use it happily.

      Cheers,
      Matt
