What Is Beachbody ?

-Summary of Beachbody –

Product Name: Beachbody
Founders: Unknown in Santa Monica in 1998
Product Type: MLM(Health, wellness, fitness)
Price: $39-99 depends on the plans
Rating: 20 / 100
Recommend: No

Beachbody is founded in Santa Monica back in 1998 that runs over 22 years so far. Most of you might hear Insanity, Hip Hop Abs, P90X and Brazil Butt Lift programs in the market, and it also has legitimate products such as workout DVD, food supplements, meal plans, etc.

Beachbody uses Multi-Level Marketing to promote its products and this is my first time to hear that we could leverage being a coach to make money with helping others to lose weight.

I think Beachbody is amazing, but it is still not my cup of tea. I would provide more details further down.

Is Beachbody A Pyramid Scheme? - Beachbody knows how to control your weight.

What’s inside Beachbody ?

Just like many MLM companies in the industry, Beachbody is no different to provide products for sale and make coaches earn commissions.

They have a wide selection of fitness-related products, and I would just mention some products that I did use in the past or products I am interested in. You could check HERE for all the products!

I am curious about its products since I work out at least twice a week and I take supplements to help my muscles grow, so Beachbody does attract people who go to the gym regularly just like me.

Beachbody Ranking

You could start by being a coach of Beachbody. After coach, there are Emerald, Ruby, Diamond, then 1-15 star. It seems impossible to climb all the way up to 15 star. BUT, everything is possible!

Beachbody Compensation Plan

There are mainly two ways to earn commission by Beachbody. The first, sell Beachbody’s products to earn commissions. The second, recruit people into the same system for team bonuses.

Beachbody uses the binary compensation plan with a two-leg structure, and the members you recruit will be placed either right leg or left leg.

Who Is Beachbody For?

People who want to lose weight and also want to become a coach to help others lose weight!

And, I believe there are many people join Beachbody to control their own weight-control issue. Once they succeed, they start to think about “What if I help people to make a change too? It might be great to help people and make money at the same time!”

What I Liked About Beachbody

TOP#1 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

I love 30-day because it gives me confidence that I know I could get my money back if I don’t like the products or programs after a few days.

In my article on how to avoid affiliate marketing scams, I listed this as a symbol of good & legitimate online programs.

So, I feel this is safe and secure when I know Beachbody has a 30-day money-back guarantee. It’s quite nice!

Is Beachbody A Pyramid Scheme? - Beachbody does provide a 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee.

TOP#2 It’s Possible To Lose Weight

Most people get attracted by the idea of losing weight & becoming a coach to help others with the same. I understand losing weight isn’t easy, but some people did succeed to beat the stubborn body fat.

So, if you want to lose weight, I would recommend trying Beachbody’s fitness or nutrition programs first. They might work on you too.

Once you succeed in losing weight, there is still plenty of time to think about becoming a coach with Beachbody.

TOP#3 Good Rating On BBB

BBB stands for Better Business Bureau, and I would suggest you check the company behind the products or services you like to buy on a regular basis on it.

WHY? The reason is simple! You could get the first-hand complaints from other customers, and this could save you from the same trouble.

Based on the rating from BBB, Beachbody LLC gets an A+ rating that is nice and decent.

It doesn’t mean Beachbody doesn’t have any complaints on BBB, and the main complaints of Beachbody are customer services & refund system.

Ugly Truth About Beachbody

TOP#1 Low Income Potential

Beachbody’s income disclosure is quite different from other MLM companies I have reviewed. You may see from the below screenshot as they didn’t make the rankings in order.

Instead, they classify them with development & leadership rankings. I believe it makes people confused.

Beachbody’s ranking should be Coach–>Emerald Coach–>Ruby Coach–>Diamond–>Star Diamond. If Beachbody makes it like this for the income disclosure, it would be easy to follow and compare it with other similar companies.

I assume people start as coaches with Beachbody, and the average income in 2018 is around $402. Meaning they only get $33.5 per month.

I also found Beachbody mentioned only 43.49% of coaches received bonuses or commissions in 2018. The rest 56.51% of coaches didn’t make money. Please remember these figures before you join Beachbody.

Is Beachbody A Pyramid Scheme? - Low Income Potential

And, if you hope to make money to replace your full-time job, you should climb up to Star Diamond rank. The coaches below Star Diamond ranking need to keep a full-time job and part-time Beachbody.

TOP#2 Recruit, Recruit, and Recruit

Beachbody mentions the importance of recruitment in the compensation plan. You need to recruit, recruit, and recruit more people into the same system you joined to maximize earning.

For me, I don’t blame Beachbody since this is something that every MLM company will do for the business. You could have a better choice to replace Beachbody!

Is Beachbody A Pyramid Scheme? - Focus on Recruitments

TOP#3 Only Three Years

Now, we understand the low-income potential of being a coach of Beachbody, and the average time the coaches stick around with Beachbody is 3.23 years.

Meaning almost every coach will be completely out of the business within 36 months, and this isn’t ideal for people who hope to make a sustainable income, right?

Beachbody vs Now Lifestyle

I made a simple comparison of two health & wellness programs, and I hope it could help you make the right decision.

Is Now Lifestyle A Scam? - Beachbody vs. Now Lifestyle

Is Beachbody A Scam?

Definitely NO!

For a company that runs over 20 years, Beachbody does provide products that people desire to purchase. Especially, the weight-control products! Weight control is an all-time issue in the USA for many years, so this probably explains why Beachbody could exist for that long.

But, it might take longer than you think to make money by Beachbody’s compensation plan.

Before you become a Beachbody coach, I do hope you could consider three things that I mentioned above why I don’t like it so much.

When we have a better choice, the higher the possibility we could really make a sustainable income from the internet!

My Alternative Way to Make Money Online

My alternative to make money online is through Affiliate Marketing. The best part of affiliate marketing is you don’t even need to buy any physical or digital products and sell to someone face to face!

You only need to create a website or YouTube channel with quality content that makes people trust you then purchase them through your links.
